Newport Beach, Calif. and Dimmitt, Texas – December 1, 2025 – Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (NASDAQ: CLNE) has announced it has successfully completed its renewable natural gas (RNG) facility located at South Fork Dairy in Dimmitt, Texas. The facility is now producing pipeline-quality RNG and has begun injecting into the interstate natural gas pipeline.

Now one of the largest RNG production plants in the country, South Fork is home to a herd of 16,000 dairy cows and has the capability to produce approximately 2.6 million gallons of low-carbon RNG annually. The facility will process up to 300,000 gallons of dairy manure each day utilizing the four anaerobic digesters on-site, along with manure processing and advanced gas conversion equipment. The RNG produced is injected directly into an on-site gas line. Financed entirely by Clean Energy, the project broke ground in July 2024 and totaled $85 million. Clean Energy will receive 100 percent of the RNG fuel produced at South Fork Dairy.

“The requirements to reach production and injecting milestones were extremely stringent and we are incredibly proud of the team for getting our seventh RNG facility online, on time and on budget. It’s no small feat,” said Clay Corbus SVP at Clean Energy. “The completion of the project at South Fork is particularly special because not only is it a major step forward in building our low-carbon RNG supply to ensure we have the volumes needed to meet the growing fleet demand, but we were able to work side-by-side with such a remarkable dairyman in Frank Brand.”

“Partnering with Clean Energy to build an RNG facility on the dairy has been a success for us,” said Frank Brand, owner of South Fork Dairy. “We’re processing our manure into useful bedding and producing clean, useful fuel for vehicles – it’s pretty amazing stuff. Being a part of something so circular that allows the dairy to reduce its emissions while providing an additional income stream is an added bonus.”

During construction, the project temporarily paused due to a fire that impacted the dairy. South Fork’s owner, Frank Brand, and his team rebuilt the dairy working closely with Clean Energy to navigate this. Today, both the dairy and the RNG facility are fully restored and operating – an outcome that is testament to the determination of the South Fork and Clean Energy teams.

The RNG produced at South Fork Dairy has received full approval from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to begin generating Renewable Identification Numbers (RINs) under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) program. Clean Energy also expects to generate California Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) credits in Q1, 2026. Clean Energy continues to expand its fueling network nationwide with over 600 stations RNG is delivered to.

T Diamond Bar and Montrose Environmental worked closely with the Clean Energy team to complete South Fork facility.

Agriculture accounts for nearly 10 percent of U.S. GHG emissions and the transportation sector accounts for another 28%, according to the EPA. Capturing methane from farm waste lowers these emissions. RNG, produced by that captured methane and used as a transportation fuel, significantly lowers GHG emissions on a lifecycle basis when compared to diesel. This allows RNG to be one of the only fuels to receive a negative carbon-intensity score based on the reduction of emissions at the source and at the vehicle and costs significantly less than diesel at the pump.

Newport Beach, Calif. – October 22, 2025 – Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (NASDAQ: CLNE), the largest provider of renewable natural gas (RNG) for the transportation industry, has announced the launch of its second heavy-duty truck demo program, featuring the 2026 Freightliner Cascadia Gen 5 day cab equipped with the Cummins X15N natural gas engine.

The new truck will be showcased at the American Trucking Associations’ Management Conference & Exhibition (ATA MCE) in San Diego from October 25–28, offering attendees an exclusive preview before the program launches with its debut fleet partner.

This new program builds on the success of Clean Energy’s first Peterbilt X15N demo truck program which was launched last year. The first demo truck has been praised by fleets who have operated it for the engine’s smooth handling through different terrains, impressive torque, per gallon savings running on RNG, and fuel efficiency, reinforcing the X15N’s potential to reshape the future of low-carbon heavy-duty trucking.

“Through one of the most tumultuous times in the history of the freight industry with evolving regulatory changes, impacts of tariffs, and overall economic uncertainty, the X15N/RNG solution has come out a clear winner for both carriers and shippers,” said Chad Lindholm, senior vice president at Clean Energy. “The Cummins X15N truly is a game-changer, providing equivalent power and torque as its diesel equivalent, yet allowing fleets to claim significant carbon and NOx emission reductions with a fuel that is priced at a big discount to diesel. The reason we have a waiting list to test our demo trucks is because despite regulatory easing, operators of fleets and their customers continue to want to have the cleanest trucks. Viable electric and fuel cell options are years and years from becoming an affordable reality. RNG is the only solution that is here today, affordable, and clean.”

Clean Energy’s demo truck program will give fleets across the country the opportunity to experience first-hand the capabilities of the Freightliner Cascadia Gen 5 equipped with the X15N. Participating carriers will be able to fuel at Clean Energy’s network of RNG stations nationwide, showcasing the ease of integrating low-carbon fueling into their own fleet operations.

The Cummins X15N engine is designed to run on RNG – a biogenic fuel derived from organic waste such as dairy manure. It offers a powerful, reliable, cleaner alternative to diesel, and fleets fueling with RNG can reduce emissions by more than 300 percent, achieving negative carbon-intensity results, while spending less per gallon of fuel.

The X15N is quickly earning a reputation for performance and sustainability, with major carriers including Walmart, Amazon, UPS, FedEx, Werner, Knight Swift, Food Express, Cemex and Mullen Group having placed orders for the new engine.

The demo truck will travel through key freight corridors in California, Texas, Arizona, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Florida, and other states, allowing large and mid-sized fleets to try and test the engine’s capabilities in real-world conditions.
Newport Beach, Calif. – September 16, 2025 – Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (NASDAQ: CLNE) has announced it has broken ground on three renewable natural gas (RNG) production facilities under its development agreement with Maas Energy Works. These projects span six dairies located in South Dakota, Georgia, Florida and New Mexico, and are expected to produce approximately three million gallons of RNG annually once fully operational.

Capturing methane from a combined herd of 24,300 dairy cows, preventing harmful emissions from entering the atmosphere, the RNG produced will be used to power heavy-duty trucking, transit and vocational fleets nationwide – providing a reliable supply of negative-carbon fuel to Clean Energy’s network of over 600 stations.

“Partnering with an industry leader like Maas Energy Works on these projects will enable us to quickly bring meaningful volumes of ultraclean fuel to the transportation market,” said Clay Corbus, senior vice president of renewables at Clean Energy. “We’re seeing rising demand for RNG from fleets looking to decarbonize, and breaking ground on these production facilities is a significant step forward in meeting that need.”

Maas Energy Works brings a unique approach to RNG production through its covered lagoon system. Unlike traditional anaerobic digester tanks which are more costly to build and operate, Maas Energy’s method involves capturing methane from manure stored in large, tarp covered lagoon digesters. This technique offers a cost-effective and efficient alternative for manure collection and RNG production.

Clean Energy has elected to move forward with three RNG projects with Maas Energy Works after finalizing diligence. All demonstrating strong economic viability, the projects are forecasted to cost $80 million and are on track for completion in 2026.

Clean Energy still has the rights to develop the other remaining projects at a later date as market conditions and project economics evolve.

Agriculture accounts for nearly 10 percent of U.S. GHG emissions and the transportation sector accounts for another 28%, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Capturing methane from farm waste lowers these emissions. RNG, produced by that captured methane and used as a transportation fuel, significantly lowers GHG emissions on a lifecycle basis when compared to diesel. This allows RNG to be one of the only fuels to receive a negative carbon-intensity score based on the reduction of emissions at the source and at the vehicle.

Industry-first natural gas truck bundled leasing packages offering integrated fueling, service, and fleet management to unlock savings and accelerate return on investment

September 10, 2025 — Pioneer Clean Fleet Solutions Inc. (“Pioneer CFS”) announced its official launch as the first commercial truck leasing company specializing exclusively in deploying low-carbon technology to heavy-duty fleets, with next-generation compressed natural gas (“CNG”) heavy-duty trucks as its first focus area. Through an integrated model that bundles vehicles with fueling, maintenance and advanced fleet management solutions, Pioneer provides fleets with an unrivaled path to achieve cost-per-mile savings and environmental benefits without sacrificing productivity.

“Fleets around the world are utilizing natural gas and renewable natural gas to help reduce operational costs and improve emissions” said CEO and Co-Founder Sam Gabbita. “Pioneer was built to eliminate the barriers to natural gas adoption in North America by delivering a turnkey leasing package that includes the trucks, the fuel, and the service support that is financially viable for the fleets.”

Pioneer CFS has formed strategic relationships with Clean Energy Fuels Corp., Cummins Inc., and Hexagon Agility to unlock fuel supply, engine and fuel system technology, and customer care capability through competitive leasing packages. This helps heavy-duty truck fleets quickly and cost-effectively incorporate CNG trucks into their operations. Pioneer CFS also works with other leading manufacturers, national dealers, fuel suppliers and service providers to deliver integrated, tailored solutions to match the needs of fleet customers.

Pioneer CFS’ core offerings include:

Planning – collaboration on fleet goals, optimal enablement, and impact of NG on fleet operations.

Leasing & Financial Services – attractively structured leases with financial and accounting flexibility.

Fuel Supply & Logistics – tailored and reliable public, depot, or mobile access to NG and renewable natural gas (“RNG”), priced attractively relative to diesel.

Uptime – core service support designed to maximize uptime and productivity including technology-enabled oversight for optimization and savings.

“Many markets around the world have higher adoption rates for CNG and RNG than the United States, yet the US market has an unparalleled combination of cost, availability, technology and infrastructure,” said Executive Chairman and Co-Founder Dave Crompton. “Pioneer seeks to unlock adoption and enable fleets to achieve the same or better economic and environmental benefits here in the US.”

For fleets with environmental sustainability goals, lower cost RNG can drastically reduce carbon emissions by over 300% as compared to diesel as it is made from organic waste.

Reliable, proven fueling infrastructure, and the advent of mobile CNG fueling can further simplify adoption of the new Cummins’ heavy-duty X15N for various applications where smaller bore CNG engines weren’t a viable option. With the X15N engine, and its high power and high torque, fleets can utilize natural gas deployments for higher demanding duty cycles more than ever before.

“Our hyper-focused model is designed for excellence,” said President and Co-Founder Seung Baik. “Pioneer was built from the ground up to deliver the industry’s most comprehensive and cost-effective natural gas truck leasing solution. From new deployments to our support and maintenance to remarketing, we are committed to ensuring long-term value for our customers.”

With a nationwide team of experienced industry veterans in heavy-duty truck and engine manufacturing, CNG storage and fueling, and leasing and remarketing, Pioneer CFS has already begun working with fleets. Early deployments are targeted for delivery in the coming months across multiple regions in North America.

About Pioneer Clean Fleet Solutions

Pioneer Clean Fleet Solutions (Pioneer CFS) is the first commercial truck leasing company dedicated exclusively to low-carbon, heavy-duty fleet deployments. Pioneer CFS’ first mission is to accelerate natural gas adoption for heavy-duty fleets with innovative fleet leasing solutions that combine deep industry and procurement expertise, strategic alliances, financial services, and advanced data-analytics to boost bottom-line and operational excellence. As an independent provider, Pioneer will always remain focused on delivering both economic viability and improved environmental performance to the fleets nationwide. Pioneer CFS’ team has deep expertise in its target markets, strong strategic alliances with leading manufacturers, technology and service providers, and exceptional focus on customer care and aftermarket support.

Newport Beach, Calif. – July 30, 2025 – Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (NASDAQ: CLNE), the largest provider of the cleanest fuel for the transportation market, has announced a slew of new deals with transit fleets and municipalities across the country to transition their vehicles to ultra clean renewable natural gas (RNG). Under these new agreements, Clean Energy will build and upgrade fueling infrastructure, maintain and operate station sites or provide RNG fuel for public buses, refuse trucks, street sweepers, and other vocational vehicles that serve the community.

“Cities and transit agencies looking to make the air more breathable and address their carbon footprint need reliable, cost-effective solutions that can be deployed now – not years down the line,” said Chad Lindholm, senior vice president at Clean Energy. “These new deals represent a clear trend: cities and transit fleet operators are choosing RNG to meet sustainability goals, avoid the high costs and infrastructure barriers of other alternatives and make an immediate environmental impact.”

The lead transportation agency for LA County, Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro), has signed a new maintenance agreement for several fueling locations with Clean Energy. The stations will fuel over 940 natural gas buses and will supply 11.5 million gallons annually. Metro is one of Clean Energy’s largest RNG users in California and carries nearly 1 million commuters daily on a fleet of low-emission buses.

In a competitive bid, Clean Energy was awarded an RNG supply deal with Interurban Transit Partnership (The Rapid) transit agency in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Rapid currently has 100 natural gas buses in its fleet with a commitment to growing that number in the next five years. The deal is anticipated to supply 1.1 million gallons of RNG annually and Clean Energy will also provide operation and maintenance services for their fueling sites.

Trinity Metro, the public transportation provider for Fort Worth and surrounding cities in Tarrant County, TX, has inked an RNG supply agreement with Clean Energy to fuel 190 of its buses. In a competitive bid, Clean Energy was selected as the winning provider, extending its existing maintenance relationship with Trinity Metro to include RNG supply. The deal will provide approximately 2.1 million gallons of clean-burning RNG for its bus fleet.

The Birmingham Jefferson County Transit Authority (BJCTA) in Alabama has signed an RNG supply deal with Clean Energy to use an anticipated 950,000 gallons of fuel for 96 transit buses. Clean Energy also has a maintenance agreement with the agency to oversee their fueling site.

Clean Energy will build a new fueling station for Loudoun County in Virginia under a new agreement. This will help the county achieve its goal to grow its current natural gas bus fleet from 2 to 120 as they transition to cleaner alternative fuels like RNG. In addition to the new station, Clean Energy will be modifying existing bus maintenance facilities to accommodate the growth.

The city of El Paso, TX, has signed a fueling agreement with Clean Energy to supply three of its private fueling stations with RNG. The city’s 300-strong fleet of natural gas buses and 21 refuse trucks are forecasted to use approximately 2.7 million gallons of RNG annually. In addition, Clean Energy will also upgrade one of their stations while providing operations and maintenance services to all three sites.

One of the largest transit agencies in Arizona, the City of Tucson, has signed a station maintenance agreement with Clean Energy to support 100 of its natural gas buses which consume over 2 million gallons of fuel annually.

Clean Energy is partnering with bus manufacturer, Gillig LLC, to supply and fill every new bus that is delivered to a customer with RNG. This deal is forecasted to provide Gillig with approximately 60,000 gallons annually.

Union City, CA, has inked a new RNG supply deal with Clean Energy to fuel its 15-vehicle fleet. The agreement will see an anticipated 250,000 gallons of fuel provided to the city.

Kings County Area Public Transit Agency (KART) in California has signed a deal with Clean Energy to upgrade their private station and supply RNG to 25 buses. Anticipated to use 220,000 gallons of RNG, KART has long been an advocate for using clean natural gas vehicles to serve the community and has continued to expand its RNG usage and fleet over the years.

Tillis/Warner and Fitzpatrick/Sánchez Unveil Matching Senate and House Bills to Support RNG-Fueled Fleets and Promote Economic Growth

Washington, DC – The Transport Project (TTP) applauds the introduction by Senators Thom Tillis (R-NC) and Mark Warner (D-VA) and Representatives Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA) and Linda Sánchez (D-CA) of the Renewable Natural Gas Incentive Act (S. 1252/H.R. 2596), a bipartisan and bicameral effort to provide a $1.00 per gallon tax credit for motor vehicles that use renewable natural gas (RNG) to further support cleaner and more efficient transportation across America. Full text of the legislation can be found HERE.

“The Renewable Natural Gas Incentive Act is a smart investment in America’s energy independence and economic growth,” said Senator Tillis. “By expanding domestically produced renewable natural gas, we can reduce reliance on foreign energy and create good-paying jobs across the country.”

“Renewable natural gas continues to gain momentum as a clean, affordable, and reliable fuel source. I’m proud to introduce legislation that will help incentivize the use of RNG and continue to aid the transition to clean energy while boosting our economy and creating good-paying jobs,” said Senator Warner.

“Achieving American energy independence demands bold, forward-thinking solutions—and Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) is one of the most promising,” said Representative Fitzpatrick. “By cutting emissions and modernizing transportation across our supply chains, RNG delivers both environmental progress and economic growth. Across the country, American workers and businesses are leading the charge to integrate this clean, domestic energy source. Our bipartisan, bicameral Renewable Natural Gas Incentive Act builds on that momentum with a targeted, pro-growth tax incentive to drive adoption, fuel innovation, and create jobs nationwide.”

“Heavy-duty trucks and buses are major contributors to pollution, accelerating climate change and worsening public health problems. By transitioning to renewable natural gas, we can reduce these harmful impacts while providing a cleaner, more affordable fuel option. Our tax credit will incentivize replacing outdated fleets with more sustainable alternatives, ensuring a healthier environment and a stronger economy without disrupting operations or increasing costs,” said Representative Sánchez.

Renewable natural gas vehicles are powered by American fuel, American technology, and American innovation. No commercially available, reliable, and scalable heavy-duty powertrain solution runs cleaner than renewable natural gas, or biomethane.

Captured above ground from organic material in agricultural, wastewater, landfill, or food waste, RNG can produce carbon-negative results when fueling on-road vehicles like short- and long-haul trucks, transit buses, and refuse and recycling collection vehicles. California Air Resources Board data confirms that the weighted average carbon intensity (CI) value of California’s bio-CNG vehicle fuel portfolio in its Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) program is below zero at -212.13 gCO2e/MJ, offering the only carbon negative clean transportation outcome in the program.1

“Transitioning to RNG-fueled vehicles can save money and reduce emissions, and deploys new, affordable, cleaner, and compliant technology without delay and without compromising business operations,” said The Transport Project President Daniel Gage. “More and more commercial fleets are discovering how allocating RNG as transportation fuel can help achieve more sustainable results immediately. We are fortunate to have bipartisan, bicameral support in advancing the use of domestically produced RNG in commercial trucking; getting this credit passed in this Congress will promote energy security, American jobs, and fuel cost savings for businesses.”

In 2023, 79 percent of all on-road fuel used nationwide in natural gas vehicles was from a renewable source.2

The Transport Project’s natural gas vehicle fleet and fueler members eagerly support the bill’s introduction:

“This legislation will support the use of methane-reducing RNG and encourage clean, efficient transportation while building energy security in the United States,” said Mike Kiely, UPS President of Global Government Affairs. “RNG is a winning solution for UPS and the logistics industry.”

“WM supports this thoughtful approach to investing in natural gas vehicles and trucking fleets that are allocated Renewable Natural Gas,” said John Skoutelas, Vice President, Government Affairs & Legal, WM (Waste Management). “WM is focused on working towards a more sustainable tomorrow through our action and investments to create a lower emission fleet. This piece of legislation is critical towards helping the heavy-duty vehicle sector shift away from diesel vehicles and transition to lower emission transportation fuel for a more sustainable future.”

“Because RNG captures harmful greenhouse gases at the source – like dairies and other agriculture facilities – and at the vehicle, it is rated the cleanest fuel in the world, many times cleaner than electric vehicles,” said Andrew Littlefair, CEO and President of Clean Energy Fuels Corp. “The bipartisan approach to this legislation demonstrates the win-win-win nature of RNG – reducing emissions with a very affordable U.S.-produced alternative fuel for fleets operating U.S.-made vehicles, while bring economic development to rural areas and helping our farmers.”

With this credit, America’s transit agencies can continue to invest in cleaner, commercially available and proven renewable natural gas buses without reducing service or increasing fares, school districts can provide exhaust-free rides to school by replacing their dirty legacy fleets, and freight haulers and package delivery companies can afford to replace aging diesel trucks with cleaner renewable natural gas trucks.
