This is the largest renewable energy project ever proposed for Long Island, capable of more than tripling its green energy supply. The project’s portfolio of three new wind and four new solar farms will be spread across the PJM regional power market, and deliver 677 megawatts of electricity.
The Clean Energy Link’s portfolio consists of three new wind and four new solar farms, totaling 677 MWs, spread over 42,600 acres.
By connecting Long Island to the backbone of the eastern U.S. power network, this project will improve the resiliency of Long Island’s electrical grid.
The Clean Energy Link is the most affordable way to quickly bring new renewable energy to Long Island by accessing power produced at economies of scale not possible locally.
